6 Tips For Running Further in a Back Yard Ultra
I have been coaching Jeremy Pelvin for the past 4 years. During that time he has raced a lot of events ranging from 20km trail races, to road marathons to 100k ultras. Over the past 2 1/2 years his focus has been almost entirely on running Back Yard Ultras. He has run 6 of them now and he just keeps going further and further.
Here are his results to date:
- April 2021 - 19 Laps - 127km
- February 2022 - 24 Laps - 160km
- Junly 2022 - 27 Laps - 180km
- October 2022 - 30 Laps - 200km
- July 2023 - 37 Laps - 247km
- November 2023 - 50 Laps - 335km - LAST ONE STANDING!
This is an hour long interview, during which we dive into all of the tips and tricks Jeremy has learned over his six BYUs that have helped him to keep increasing the distance. He also shares some valuable insights as to what further tweaks he can make to his race plan to go further still.
